Smith and Miller Look to End Month on Strong Note

October 30th | Mooresville, NC -

This weekend Crooks Racing Development drivers, Zane Smith and Vinnie Miller, will be back at Hickory Motor Speedway for the CARS Tour “Liberty University 300” finale.  The race was originally suppose to take place Sunday afternoon (Nov 1st), but due to impending weather, CARS Tour officials moved the race up and will now take place Saturday evening, at 7:30 pm. After a tough few weeks in October with rainouts, last minute schedule changes, and mechanical issues the team members are looking to end the month on a strong note.

Zane Smith is coming off a second place finish last weekend at Greenville Pickens in the PASS South Series. The last stop for the CARS Tour was at Myrtle Beach Speedway back in September where Smith came home with a 6th place finish.  Smith currently sits 3rd in the CARS Tour points standing. There is 1 point difference between him and 4th place driver, Quinn Houff.

Vinnie Miller is coming off a 15th place finish from last weekend at Greenville Pickens, and a 17th place finish in the last CARS Tour series race at Myrtle Beach Speedway.

Liberty University 300 will take place on Saturday, October 31st.  SLM practice begins at 1:05 pm, and 1:40 pm, qualifying to begin at 5:15 pm and the Liberty University 300 to begin at 7:30 pm with the LMSC to run 150 first, with the SLM’s to follow.
